I am pleased to offer my services for personal commissioned paintings. Maybe you have a dear pet whom you have always treasured and would love to have a lasting memory to share on your wall, or you have always had an idea for a painting, but not known how to get it onto canvas. I am here to bring your ideas into reality. I will start by talking to you at length to really get a feel as to what you are wanting to capture in your picture. Then once we have created a time frame a contract will be drawn up so you know your project is my top priority. Once you have submitted source material (photos and what not) I will do a few sketches until we decide on a focus look of the painting. After the painting is completed there is also one last good faith edit if desired. Sometimes there is that one thing that you want just a little different, I am happy to help. This painting is all about you and your vision and I am here to help bring that into fruition. Prices vary depending on size and subject matter. Please Email me directly for any further questions.
How much do they cost?
Varies depending on size and subject matter, but I am here to talk out the process, so you don’t get more than you want or can afford. These are one of a kinda pieces custom made for you.
How long does it take?
Every commission varies from size to complexity, so there is no set timeframe. In the initial talks we can go over a personal timeline for you taking into account current projects and how complicated your painting is.
How much deposit is needed?
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required when the contract is signed to help cover the upfront costs of materials and time.
What if I change my mind and want to cancel?
You can cancel at any time; however, the deposit is non-refundable.
What if I don’t like it once it is finished?
I will do a single good faith edit to the painting to fix any problems you may have. This painting is for you, not for me.
Can I use the image of the painting anyway I want once I receive it?
I do retain a common law copyright on the painting and you would need to get my approval for any reproductions or use of it in a commercial setting. This is negotiable and can be worked into your contract.
"I Commissioned two paintings from Caitlin and I am over the moon with how they turned out. She captured the very souls of my two Siamese cats, and even the slightly snarly look on Sia-Sia's face. And I can't help but look at Caitlin's portrait of my beloved Standard Poodle, Annabelle, and feel that she is still here with me.
Thank you Caitlin for the lovely paintings!"
